"I will not forget one line of this, not one day, I swear."

Sometimes I feel like Shawn when I talk about my acting. Then I wonder how crazy my friends must think I am. And then I wonder how crazy I am.

Crazy.

I'm a bit depressed because tonight there were auditions for The Man of La Mancha and .... I didn't go. I missed it.

There were a few reasons. One, I was sick for most of January and was unable to sing till about last week. I had little, to no preparation leading up to auditions. And then I just.... didn't. I kind of freaked myself out, because I got this terrifying image of myself auditioning without preparation.
Gus

And I was like, Nope! that's not happening! I swear next time I'll prepare and be brave and audition, but auditioning in the Spur-of-the-moment seemed like a really bad idea.

And now I've run out of excuses and I feel even sadder. I SHOULD HAVE AUDITIONED!!!!!

Oh well, its too late now.

On the upside we have snow in our backyard again. I will admit I missed the snow. We've only had two storms all year. Its been cold and windy and cloudy, but we haven't had much snow at all. And aside from the fact that our town need the snow for business, I like looking out and seeing white tipped trees and snowy houses, not just mud and dead trees. I hate that.

I knew the warm-spell would never last. Its funny how the people in Tahoe react if we go more than a few months without snow. We're in sever DROUGHT! It will never snow AGAIN!!! They never seem to remember this happens regularly; we'll have a few hard winters in a row and few easy winters in a row. And there are always warm spells. As in 65 degrees in February. I'm pretty sure we're okay. and sure enough we've gotten our snowflakes back. The Ski Slopes are very pleased.

Something else pretty nifty happened. I know this family that owns a paddle shop in town, and just a couple days ago their father asked me how I'd feel having a summer job working the Paddle shop. I was taken a bit by surprise, so I didn't answer straight away. He interrupted my stunned silence and told me to think about it, I had months. So I did. And I plan to take him up on his offer. Its a good paying job, it would help me save up for acting and it would make me feel good about myself.

You know what? Thinking about this makes me feel jittery. Now I need tea to settle my nerves. Speaking of tea, have any of you have seen The Time of The Doctor? If not, careful as you read, I may have a few spoilers here..... -

I have very mixed feeling about it. I want to watch it again and see if its better the second time around when you know what to expect and are prepared for it.  Honestly, I was expecting a lot worse. I sort of thought the Doctor was going to get trapped on Trenzalore and forced to finally battle the Silence. I was expecting this huge, epic, traumatizing and brutal episode with sobbing and screaming and moments of insane denial. What I got wasn't that. The Doctor and Clara were both brilliant and I loved it whenever they were together, they were amazing. But the episode it self left me feeling rather let down and disappointed. The Disclaimer here is that while we were watching it did keep glitching and freezing and there were a lot of people watching it, so there was a bit of shuffling going on, making it distracting to watch. But that aside, I went through that episode not sure what was going on or why. It felt like nothing happened for Fifty minutes, The Doctor changed and you were done.

I'm not saying it was all bad or anything. There were a bunch of small, sweet moments and the episode carried a lot of potential, but it wasn't built on enough. The 'villains' of the story were almost non-existent. There was altogether too little of the Doctor, and Silence NEVER FELL! That was upsetting because we've been having the climax of the Silence since his first episode. But the Silence were barely there. It was anit-climatic. The episode felt weak and without much of a point or plot, at least to me. Matt deserved a better than that. He was a fantastic Doctor and he deserved a proper, fantastic send off. His last scene on the TARDIS was very sad, though, I will give the episode that. His last moments were brilliant and emotional and I cried. Of course I cried. The Doctor was changing, he was leaving and I had to watch it happen, and it was upsetting. I found myself hysterical and giddy upon finishing the episode, which means it hurt me more than I thought it was while watching it. So that was all good. But.... Matt deserved better!

And that's all. I'm tired now. Its late, and getting late means I'll start to ramble and that is no good. So its better for all of us if I just go now. Cheerio Mates!!

50 YEARS OF DOCTOR WHO

source

In case you didn't know today Whovians everywhere are celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who.

50 YEARS. That's half a century you guys!! that's a long time for any show to be airing. It is a pretty big thing for all us fans out there. We were pretty thrilled. My sisters and I are all big Whovians so we went a bit Fan-Crazy and dressed up as characters from the show, hung up Doctor Who decorations and baking TARDIS cookies.

They were pretty delicious if I may so say so myself.

As for my outfit, I was trying for an Amy Pond thing. I think I did a pretty good job with that.

I'm such a geek *grin*

It was a lovely day, really. We spent the rest of the afternoon making TARDIS garlands, listening to Doctor Who theme Music and having quote offs. Its was a blast!

But want to know something funny? My sisters and I have been looking forward to watching the Doctor Who Special for months. And then today came. And we realized.

We had no idea how to watch said 50th.

The Once-In-a-Lifetime event and we were about to miss it all because we didn't have cable. And nothing on line was working.

We actually looked up how to watch it on youtube, Quite by accident we ran into a Doctor Who interview that rapidly turned into a countdown. A countdown to the special. They started at Ten. And we were all like "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!" - WE WERE MISSING IT!

Then we remember that our amazing friends up the street had cable.

And in our desperation we crashed their house, with permission of course, and settle down on their couch to watch the Doctor Who 50th.

Okay, Bad first. I was a teeny bit disappointed at the end. It felt like, after all the hype and build up there would have been more. I think I was expecting something a lot bigger and as it was, it was just like a really good episode in a normal series. It didn't feel like a 50-year Special. I wish they had brought in more of the other character and references, and maybe made the overall feel a little more intense. It was good and I liked it, it just wasn't as good as I was expecting. It was amazing to see Matt and David work together and John Hurt, though still absolutely NOT the Doctor was better than I thought he'd be.  The Special was a great experience and I was very glad I hadn't missed out on it. Eleven and Ten together was brilliant and funny and there were a lot of great moments. I'll probably like it better the second time around, now I know what to expect.

Anyway, to Celebrate this MOMENTOUS day in Doctor Who history I have decided to follow in Treski's lead and do Tasha's Doctor Who tag from last year. Enjoy :)

1| If you decided to name your first born child after any Doctor Who character, male or female, who would it be?
If it was a girl I would name her Amelia and if it was a boy I would name him Arthur - Rory for short.

2| What is your favourite colour of the Doctor's shoes?

I really liked the Doctor's red converses. They are amazing.

3| Look around yourself and name the one thing that is TARDIS blue in your house!
The office chair in the piano room
4| If you could pick who plays the Twelfth Doctor which actor would you choose and why?
Well.... The actor is already chosen, and actually I think he'll be quite good.

5| The Doctor is going back in time again, which historical era should he visit?
He should visit the American Revolution, or maybe see Arthur and his knights of the round table.

6| Would you REALLY go with the Doctor in the TARDIS?
Would I? I don't know honestly. A mad man comes sailing into my backyard, hops out and says "Hey, travel the Universe with me?" I dunno if I'd run into his arms or panic. I've never been anywhere on earth let alone any of the planets in space. So I may or may not go travelling. I probably would. But if I did I'd be the Clara type of companion. Pick me up, drop me off. Pic me up, drop me off. Pick me up drop me off.

7| Who's your favorite Doctor and why?
It took me a long time to answer this question because I was trying to decide if Nine or Eleven was my favorite. After deep thought I finally mad a decision.

I have been trying to pin-point what finally sold me on Eleven. Nine was my Doctor for a very long time,  and it took me a until Season 4 to get over his regeneration. I think he will always be my special Doctor, but I don't think I like him more than Eleven. I just love him in a different way, a more special way. He introduced me to the fandom and he was the reason I got hooked. So I'll always have a soft spot for him. That being said, I think Eleven is probably my favorite Doctor. As his time comes to a close and we are faced with his regeneration, I realize more and more how much I love him. I don't want him to leave. I hate change. Especially when the change it going to be traumatic. Which it is.

8| Would you be afraid to spend Christmas in London?

No. No I would not be afraid to spend Christmas in London. And if anything did happen, which of course it would, be London, I'm sure the Doctor would sort it all out. And then I could meet him. Which would be brilliant.

9| Do you look at an ordinary screwdriver and think 'this could be a bit more sonic?'
Yep. every single time.

10| Angel statues, plastic mannequins, Christmas trees - what ordinary everyday object would you love to make an object of terror to Whovians were you Steven Moffat?
Radios. Radios should be the next horrible thing

11| The TARDIS lands in your garden and the Doctor steps out. What is the first thing you say to him?
"What? You're real? how can you be real?!"
12| Who is your favorite actor who has played the Doctor so far and why?
Matt Smith is my favorite actor so far. He is just super sweet and kind and he seems to be the Doctor on set as well as off it. He's just amazing. I love him.

13| Have you seen any Classic Doctor Who? If so, which Doctor/episode(s) is your favorite?

I have watched Classic Doctor Who, but not many of them. I've watched some of One and Two and a little bit of Four. My favorite episodes are with Four. He's kind of like Ten. Or Ten is like him. Or whatever.

14| Which are the creepiest, scariest and all-out meanest baddies in all the Who-niverse?
The Angels started out really creepy at first but they've gone down hill a bit, so not them. Let me think... There is this one alien. Not sure what its called. but it looks... well, kind of.... you know I can't really describe them. They're just... I dunno. Aliens. Creepy freaky aliens.

Oh well. I would show you a picture but none of them seem to work, they're just blank. So you'll have to try and find some yourself.

What's with the marks on my arm?

15| Who is/are your favorite Companion(s) and why?
As you already know, Amy and Rory Pond are my favorite companions. I love their character, their relationship with the Doctor, the fact that they're husband and wife, I love everything about them

16| Did you cry more watching Doomsday or The Angels Take Manhattan?
I hate to say it but I actually cried more with Doomsday. The Angels Take Manhattan was heartbreaking, it was. I sobbed. I was devastated. But mostly I was just angry. I was angry that the Ponds were gone. I was angry that they left without reason and couldn't come back just... because. It really upset me. I think I had equal amount of feels, Doomsday just had me crying harder.

17| What is your favorite quote from the show?

There are so many great ones I actually had to play the close-eyes-and-point-game. My finger landed on an Amelia Pond quote.

18| Which Doctor (including all previous regenerations) would you most like to be the companion of, and why?

I would love to travel with the Eleventh Doctor. Because out of all of them he is the kindest and the most wild. He's the 'friend' the helper, the mad and impossible big brother that everyone wants. And travelling with him would be the best thing in all the world.

19| Which of the following are you more scared of, the Daleks, Cybermen, or the Weeping Angles?

Weeping Angels are the worst. I hope Moffat, or whomever keeps directing Doctor Who takes them back to how they were in Blink cause in the beginning they were freakin' terrifying

Do
Not
 Blink

20| Who are some of your favorite guest stars in the series?

Carey Mulligan, Colin Morgan and Simon Pegg.
He doesn't usually look like that *grin*
21| What was your first experience with Doctor Who and how did you hear about the series?
My first experience with Doctor Who was when I accidentally clicked a trailer on the Youtube sidebar and decided it look silly and it must be one of those sci-fi shows everyone is into but me. Our Whovians friends from Mass soon fixed that, lending all the seasons and getting us hooked on the show. I'm such a hug fan now. How could I have ever thought it silly?

22| The Ninth Doctor said, 'Fantastic!', Ten said, 'Allons-y', and Eleven says, 'Geronimo'; what would you like to be the signature exclamation of the Twelfth Doctor?

The Twelth Doctor should say "Ach, well" or "Fascinating." What does the Doctor say?

Who?
Who?
Who?

23| If you were trapped in an episode, which one would it be?
The Power of Three because I love that episode way too much and its just the place the Doctor and the Ponds might run into me.

24| Which is your favorite episode with each Doctor (Nine, Ten and Eleven)?

WHAT? Narrowed down to one??? *Headdesk*

With the Ninth Doctor my favorite episode is "Bad Wolf/The Parting of Ways"

With Ten it was Doomsday or Journey's end. Those were both brilliant and you can not make me decide between them. I refuse.

Eleven? Eleven was either Vampires in Venice or The Power of Three.

25| After watching a certain Doctor Who episode, did you summon up the courage to try fish sticks and custard?

I want to eat Fish Fingers and Custard, I really do. I tried buying some today, but it didn't work out. however, the minute I do try it I'll be sure to share the experience with you :-)
Well! that was fun!! Happy Doctor Who Day all my fellow fans and I hope you all had a very Whovian Saturday. Long Live Doctor Who!

Confetti it's a parade!!!

Doctor Who Weekend.

Eleventh Doctor
Hello all you nuts in Cyberspace. Remember how I said I was gonna do Doctor Who weekend? Well... I still don't have a computer. So I don't know how much I'll be able to do. I'll try to do a bit tonight though cause I'm getting super excited and feel like I need to rave about Doctor Who. Bear with me all you non-whovians! *grin* This will be my shortest post because I waited too long to do it and I'm burnt of from NaNo.

I'm gonna take this opportunity to rave about the amazing Pond family. And everything Pond. Because I have come to realize that I miss them way too much. and I need to post about them

The Pond Family

It all began with Amy and Rory. Mad, impossible Amy and Rory, who stole the Doctor's hearts the minute he saw them together. He knew them right from the get go. He was their 'imaginary' friend. the Raggedy Doctor, the story from their childhood that they never quite forgot. And because of that he has a very special connection to them.

I think I adore Amy and Rory so much because their story, their time in the TARDIS, their relationship with the Doctor, it was all very new. Unlike Rose or Martha, Amy wasn't in love with the Doctor. But she wasn't really Donna either. She was something completely different. She met The Doctor when she was seven and waited 12 years for him to come back for her. She never gave up. I think that's what endured us to her. She was the little girl who waited all night in the garden and the idea of little Amelia, all alone outside, waiting and worrying, that made us all fall in love with her.

I'm going to admit, it took me a while to really fall for Amy. I liked her enough, I thought she was cute and spunky and incredibly Scottish, which was a nice change. She was everything you wanted in a companion. I think my big problem with her was that she ran away with the Doctor on her wedding night.

Her wedding night.

For me, that was just something no one does. Especially not when RORY WILLIAMS is waiting for you at home. I had a real thing for Rory. The minute he walked on scene I thought "ah, he's cute. I love him. He's such a nerd." and - BAM! I was a Rory fan instantly. Then I found out he was Amy's boyfriend. And I was like

WHATEVER I'M SHIPPING IT!!!!!!!

And then Amy ran away.

Okay I get it. She was scared. She loved Rory but she didn't know why. She didn't understand. I totally get it. I also know she never loved the Doctor, not like that. She more.... hero-worshipped him. And I think he was especially fond of her because he had let her down when she was small and he feels responsible for her now. But that didn't change the fact that she had left Rory.

That really, really bugged me.

Which is why it was so wonderful when the Doctor actually went back and asked Rory to come travelling. Well when I say asked....

Sort of "OH HELLO! Come away, you and Amy are suppose to be together."

And after that, The Doctor and his Ponds became something of an item. They did everything together. Everything. They saw the world end and restart together. They fought vampires and visited pirate ships and travelled to many parallel worlds of impossibilities together. They came back from the dead - more than once. By the end they were something far more than friends. Amy and Rory had made the Doctor their family. And he in turn, made them his. His Ponds.

River Song

River Song is sort of the link between everything. She is the mystery woman who pops in and out of the Doctor's life in different points of his time stream. Because she is a time-traveler too, they never meet in the right order. For example, the first time he meets her he's still on his Tenth regeneration and she's known him as Eleven for years. Yep. Welcome to Doctor Who you guys. The Doctor doesn't know much about River but she seems to know everything about him. And she isn't afraid to tell him something exactly as it is.

River and the Doctor have a cute, odd kind of romance. You don't even realize it's a romance, until you suddenly see that it couldn't be anything else. The Doctor clearly adores her and she is obviously in love with him. They're both a bit mad and ridiculous and well.... sociopaths. And that's why they're in love.

Oh  and this is my friend River, nice hair, clever, has her own gun, and unlike me she really doesn't mind shooting people. I shouldn't like that, kinda do, a bit.
Thank you sweetie
Now I know you're team players  and every, but she'll definitely kill the first three of you
Oh, the first Seven easily.

Their romance is a sort of sideline. Its there but its the undertone of the story. Amy and Rory, now, their love story blazes for all to see. I swear it is the best love story to ever hit television. Ever. EVER. It lasted Two Thousand years. Seriously, what more could you ask for?

At this point I feel like I should talk a little bit about Rory.
 Rory Williams

He is seriously the best husband in the universe, I swear! He's heroic and brave. He's a bit nerdy and quirky, but he also takes space and time travel quite well. I don't think I've seen anyone so easy going about anything He's totally calm about everything.

That's Rory in a nutshell. His devotion to Amy was what stole my heart away. I liked him from the beginning but after he agreed to protect Amy for a thousand years because he was afraid something might happen to her, even in the safest box on the planet, that's when I decided

RORY COULD DO NO WRONG!!

And he just keeps getting better! He's kind and understanding, he's unceasingly loyal and true. He doesn't let things frighten him. He's unflappable when it comes to aliens or anything out of the ordinary. He is probably my favorite companion ever. Well... he and Amy. Cause you don't get one without the other.

When you find out River's connection to Amy and Rory everything comes together beautifully. Their relationship, their care and fierce protectiveness for each other, it all makes sense. You realize that, from the beginning, These four could never be anything else than a family, a true, amazingly perfect family. It was like.... destiny.

I think that's why so many Whovians took The Angels Take Manhattan so terribly. Amy and Rory were more than just companions, they were family. They belonged on the TARDIS. It was their second home, it really was. And they were the Doctor's home. whenever he felt lonely or sad or in need of a little cheering up he'd rush off to visit his mates on earth. He'd take them on a bunch of wild adventures, return them safe and sound to earth, and pop off with a "See you soon!!" they are the closest thing to family he's had since Gallifrey burned.

Which is why their ending was so horrible. Amy and Rory didn't get the goodbye that they deserved. Yes, Angels take Manhattan did make me cry, and it was very emotional and devastating and all that. But it wasn't what the Ponds NEEDED. we had two of the best companions ever to step into the Doctor's life and... that was it? that was their ending? They didn't even get a proper 'goodbye' it was just, "Oh, Amy and Rory are gone forever now. And for some reason River has to go off on her own even though the Doctor would love to have her stick around. Its time to kill the Pond family. Say hello to Clara."

To which we all went

Clara?
DIE!

By now you all know that I do like Clara. I was surprised at how much I liked her. But it feels like something is missing. And that something is the Ponds. They were an enormous part of the Doctor's life and now its like they never happened. Its like his family fell through a crack in time and he's the only one who can remember them at all.

Well, and all of us.

But Moffat has conveniently pushed them from his mind. They are not of import. Its all about Clara now. And just for good measure, in case we have hope left, he cut out River too.

WHY WOULD YOU CUT OUT RIVER??

Hasn't the Doctor lost enough without losing his wife too??

*Headdesk*

Anyway

.................

Who is you're favorite companion(s)? What are you looking forward to come Saturday? What are some of your plans? Do you like Doctor Who and if you don't, WHY NOT??!

God Bless!
