Let's Be Brave

I have decided to be very, very brave and share a little bit about the musical I have been working on since January of last year. That's a long time folks. I think if I start blogging about it, I might actually finish it before January of this year. At least a first draft.

Let's Be Brave. I first got the idea for Let's Be Brave when I listened to the "Weight of Us," waaaaaaay back in August of 2016. I loved the line, "Time has come, let us be brave." I thought that was very inspiring and in the back of my mind a seed was planted. I have this thing with bravery. I think if you just have courage, you can get through anything. So, when my mind presented me with a title and a bare idea of a young girl who decides to be brave in times of hardship, I grasped at it. I began to plot, to diagram, to write.

What is Let's Be Brave? It is a musical about children from broken families/broken homes, who find each other and through their friendships, are able to find courage amidst  suffering. They start a "Let's Be Brave" Club.

My musical so far focuses on five/six different children. 1.) Violet, Emily, Jamie(?) Tonia, May, and Charlie.

Each character suffers from some kind of abuse, grief, low self-esteem, anxiety, hardship, or suffering. The premise of the story is that when you are faced with tribulation, you mustn't give into it, but instead rise above your bad situation. Whatever happens, you must learn to soldier on.  I am still in the rough draft of this musical, and character may change or shift as time goes on. But I thought it was best to get this out there once and for all, because this post has been sitting in my drafts since the beginning of July and that's sad.

I have an unhealthy fear of people stealing my ideas, so I'm not sure how much I will post about this musical at first. But you will get updates! I plan to start sharing more about all the musicals I'm working on - including the Howl one - and maybe even starting a Youtube channel for them.

*SCREAMS FOREVER*

And guys, I promise there is an Evan Hansen review coming soon. I'm sorry it's taking so long. I can't seem to find time to blog.

God Bless everyone! Hope to talk again soon!

My sister and I are Calvin and Hobbes In Real Life.

So, Tiny is my younger sister. She is also my best friend. I know how cheesy that sounds, but it's true.

Tiny and I have been best friends since forever. I actually can't remember a time when we weren't playing together, laughing together, cleaning together. We barely ever fought, and when we did the fights didn't last long. Usually one of us would go stomping out, slamming the door, and then about ten minutes later we'd find each other again. One of Us would crawl onto the bed next to the Other and whisper, "Are we friends again?" Then The Other would poke the One and there would be a tickle war, and the silly fight was over. I think the longest we were every angry with each other was a day. And we didn't like that at all.

All of my best memories were made with Tiny. We are only a year and a half apart, so we did everything together; from climbing on roofs to hiding in the bushes looking for fairy land, to creating a world full of bubbles, to figuring out how to make cookies without butter, milk, baking soda or sugar... yeah that happened. Ice cream,  flour-water, and oil are good substitutes right? Right??? Wrong.

We've been each other's crutch through the bad times, as well as partners-in-crime through the good times. We helped each other grow up in this mad, ridiculous world, slowly realize that growing older meant leaving some things behind, but it also meant adding to your pile. We faced some hard times together, and that is a big reason we are so close. We helped each other muddle through every day and find something to laugh at, even if that something was beads, and blanket tents.

We used to read Calvin and Hobbes together when we were growing up. A couple years ago, we decided that we are,  in fact, Calvin and Hobbes. Hint; I am Hobbes. She is Calvin. And she agrees.

We decided this little fact when we checked out a Calvin and Hobbes book and read this particular comic strip. We got to the part about Hobbes wearing a smock, and I was like, "We are totally Calvin and Hobbes," and she was like, "Yeah, you're Hobbes."

Since Tiny was up to visit for the week, I decided to do a Calvin & Hobbes V.S. Tiny & Bella post.

HERE WE GO!

This comic strip feels the most relatable. It's kind of ridiculous how relatable it is.

THIS COMIC.

The best part is, Tiny did have clay once, and I was like "DO WE GET TO WEAR GLOVES? How about cool outfits?? Ooooh can I use a cool little knife?? Can we lay out sheets and stuff? Pleeeeeeeease? I won't work with clay unless I get gloves and sheets!"

And she was like, "BELLA. STAHP."

Almost everything about Calvin and Hobbes reminds me of me and my sister. But since I can't post all  the comics, I shall post my favourites. :-)

Seriously, this is us every time we tried to be any sort of creepy thing. Every time we tried to freak each other out. Any time we played together, trying to be serious.

Mhm. This too.

Every morning. Unless it's Christmas morning.

I'm Hobbes, remember.

We can sit and do nothing for hours and it's not boring.

Alwaaaaaaaaaays.

Whenever I'm reading, writing, blogging, vidding, or pinterest-ing... basically any time I'm not paying attention to Tiny.

Yes.

I have actually done this.

LOL!

Laughing over nothing.

*gasping laughter* "Why are we laughing??" - "I don't know!" *laughter continues*

This picture. Yas.

This is how we take pictures. For real.
Just an average snow day.....

If at first you don't succeed...

We dance together and we are all over the place. (At least, I am. Tiny is better.)

We kind of dance on sync.....

Tiny's hair is so fabulous.

Sometimes I give Tiny a giant tackle hug and she freaks out 'cause I just about plow her over. *This especially pertains to when she came home after six weeks. I was so esited to see her!

YAS

We played outside all the time, even if it was just balancing on felled tree branches or fences and walking across them over and over again. We had a lot of our best conversations on those walks.

Source

We run at each other and have tickle fights. This can happen any time of the day really, but usually it happens at 9:00 PM. We will not restrain ourselves from screaming, crawling over couches, or jumping across beds to get away. And we will not draw the line at using Jess as a human shield. (Yup. That happened. WE HAD SO MUCH FUN ON TUESDAY!)

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER SURRENDER.

*The best part was that Jess actually complied and actively took part in being my human shield.

Reason #101 my Sister-in-Law-to-be is better than yours.

We are basically a small gang and it's pretty awesome.

Mhm.
When it would rain (which wasn't very often) we jump in pools without rain boots.

Yay, rain!

Food Books and adventure = awesome summer afternoon.

yas.

Oh, you were trying to be cool?

source

I relate to this picture.

I know...

Just an average winter evening...

SSSsssss!!

I don't know why this was so much fun, but it was. There is something about sitting up against the fire until your back is on fire, then running to the couch and flinging yourself on it, as the temperature suddenly changes. It hurts for a second, but then suddenly it is cool and prickly, and your back tingles all over, and it is so exhilarating you have to do it over and over again.

Snow also meant sledding, and sledding meant racing, and racing meant we were being chased by bad guys with giant swords, or staffs, or something equally dangerous... and everything was about to get real serious.

Yay snow!

If this next picture was chess, it would be totally applicable. I don't like playing chess with Tiny. She is too competitive.

But... my Queen....Tiny...

THIS IS TOTALLY US.

We're so much like them!

Many of our snowball fights started this way....

Mhm

Basically our whole relationship.

Beeeeeeeest friiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeends.

Tiny and I are inseparable, on both school yard and battlefield. She is the greatest friend a person could ask for, and even though she can be cantankerous, deep down she is just a big marshmallow and I love her.

And there you have it.

TWO DAYS UNTIL WE LEAVE FOR DISNEYLAND!

Peace out y'all!!!

We did a thing and it was fun.

I've realized something about my new home. I've realized that if you live fourty-five minutes away from the nearest snow-covered peak, you are stuck with lots of buildings and no snow.

This is distressing to me because where my folks live, they are finally getting dumped with snow after several years of dry, depressing winters. My sisters are making snowmen men and snow-angels and running around in deep snow-drifts and I'm stuck here. In the city. With no snow.

I miss snow guys. Never thought I'd say it. But I do.

But....snow.

That's why it was so exciting to wake up yesterday morning and see that the world outside had been covered in white!

There were real, honest, fluffy white flakes of frozen, frost-covered rain drops falling from the sky! It was so exciting! Gooooodbye green grass! *dances everywhere.*

Mai two little nieces, Chloe and Sammi, they really wanted to go out and play. Unfortunately, I have no snow-clothes. I have this fuzzy brown jacket that looks like a feminine version of Ten's trench coat, but that is as close to a coat as I have. My only boots are dress boots, so not good for snow. But Chloe and Toink wanted to go so badly I couldn't disappoint them. I'm too much of a softy I guess. I told them to get on their snow stuff, I put on some gloves and a scarf for extra warmth, I pulled my FemTen jacket on, and outside we went!

The whole world looks nicer when there is snow everywhere. I don't know why, but I feel safer when there is snow all around me.

We didn't do anything normal of course, like make a snowman. Mai little nieces wanted to go to the park. It was snowing and it was cold, but they really wanted to go to the park. It was a *thing.* And when they look at you with those big eyes full of hope, how can you say no? So we walked down the street in the cold and the wind and the snow, and we went to the park and we played on the slippery, wet, cold slides, and we had a grand ol' time. It was fabulous.

IS THAT SNOW RIGHT THERE? IS THAT SNOW ON THE PARK RIGHT THERE?

Such fun. Wow Snow.

Yay slides!!! Fun! (I slid down a snow-covered slide guys! It was like a canon of cotton. It just spat me out - woooooooooooosh!) And look! My bangs are everywhere!here!

*Why is my jaw go crooked when I laugh?? It's weird!

We're cold. It's cold. This is fun.

Because nothing says snow day like a slippery slide.

We found a teeter-totter. I played on this too. I just didn't take any selfies. Selfies on a teeter totter seemed like a bad idea.

When we finally headed home our hands were numb and our feet were freezing. We practically ran back to the house, and as soon as we were inside I put water on to boil. The three of us had tea and watched My Little Pony and let our poor, wet bodies thaw. It was nice. (I am almost positive I am the only aunt who has tea time with an eight and a five year old. And they actually like it!)

There you go. My own winter-wonderland adventure. That's all I got, but I hope it was fun. I'm gonna introduce some book characters soon. Stay tuned!

PEACE OUT Y'ALL!!

Help me, you presumptuous climber! Nyaw, nyaw!"

Barry Allen.

Mine was page one of something different, kind of frightening, and also a little exciting..

Today I finally moved out.

It was a strange feeling. I didn't feel like it was really happening until I got into my brother's car and drove away. That when it sunk in that I would no longer being staying in my little green house for the majority of the time, but with my brother and his girls and... it was really weird.

I hugged all my sisters goodbye like, three times. They acted like I was going to the moon, and when I started to pull out of the driveway, a tiny part of me felt like that was exactly where I was going. In reality I am only an hour away, but it seems longer somehow, when I am in my brothers' house, listening to the silence and blogging.

I thought I would be a lot more scared. I'm a little scared, a little nervous, but I think that is normal when you leave your home for the first time. Mostly I'm pretty okay with it - even a little excited.I know I will need time to adjust, but I don't think that will be as hard as I originally thought. I feel like this is page one of an interesting 2016, and I hope the others pages will be as nice as this one.

My family tried to make my "Going-Away" as nice as possible. They even had Epiphany in the wee hours of the morning so that I could join in, even though we usually do that in the evening. I had a lovely Epiphany. We all woke up about six o'clock in the morning, and watched the tree blink for a bit, and soon Sausage-buns were being handed out, and coffee was served, and the Epiphany gifts were passed around. I got this epic light that looks like a candle holder and has butterflies and flowers all over it. Some of them come out a little, like they're 3D. It has a little tray on that top that you can put wax it. The light underneath burns the wax, and it smells amazing. Or at least, I expect that it would. Unfortunately I left my wax at home this morning. My sister said she'd take care of it for me, and bring it up on my birthday... But it seems so long.

I still love the light though. It is fun. (I'd show you a picture, but I don't have any right now. *sad face* )

It was pretty cool. There is this little girl who comes over to play all the time. Her name is Lisbeth. (well... sort of.) Anyway, we asked her if she could come over on Epiphany at the beginning of December. She seemed thrilled about it, and promised to ask her parents. We planned to have her stay all month, and at the last minute her mom said no, she couldn't stay. But see, Lisbeth didn't have much of a Christmas, so we had to have her for Epiphany! So later that night, Lisbeth showed up with her Grandpa and my mom, who is brilliant, went over to Lisbeth's house and talked to her Mom. And her Mom let her come! Lisbeth was so happy!!! It was fun, because in the morning she had gifts under the tree, both from the Wisemen, and Father Christmas! She was so excited. It was adorable.

We have a habit and turning friends into family members. I guess we are a lot like that family in While You Were Sleeping. I knew we were... I just didn't realize how much.

Well, it's time I toddle off. I am finished with my tea and quite ready for bed. I figure it's good to go to sleep early, since my stupid cold still hasn't let me drown it in hot water and herbs yet.

I hope you all had a blessed Christmas Season and New Years! I hope and pray that this year is better then the last, and that God might grant us a good leader for our country.

Civil War is less than five months away!

Peace Out Y'all!!

W.A.F.L.W

What A Freaking Long Weekend.

But good long, not bad long.

On Saturday my Big Bro took me and all of my little sisters (and the nieces) For a fun day out and an epic slumber-party afterward. That means I spent my entire Saturday with my brother and Jess (A lovely Friend) running around doing all sorts of nifty activities and getting unstressed. We started off at the Discovery Museum and chilled there for two hours or so, making tiny robots and crawling through 'mine' tunnels (which were really small) and climbing a magnificent giant cloud.

Driving down was actually a lot of fun. It is a fair distance from our house to the Discovery Kingdom but my Big Bro put on music (HE LIKES TAYLOR SWIFT) and we all sang very loudly and jazzed out with arms flailing, so it wasn't as boring as it could have been.

You searched the world for something else to make you feel like what we had, and in the end in wonderland, we both went MAD.

*Draws in breath dramatically*

WE FOUND WONDERLAND YOU AND I GOT LOST IN IT, AND LIFE WAS NEVER WORSE BUT NEVER BETTER!!!!!

Le me crammed in the backseat with wee ones as we head off on our adventure.

There was a cool table where you could make adorable robots and that was very intriguing. I had FUN with those fabulous things. I attempted an angry Dalek eating a Silence but I only had squares to work so it didn't turn out right. It was fun to try though.

.
Le me attempting to create DALEK

There were these horrible mind games that you couldn't resist playing. Games like pulling apart two metal hearts that were linked together, or making a square out of several irregular blocks or Jumping Pegs. That one was was STUPID.

RULES: Pegs can only move forward
Pegs can only move one space at a time or jump over one peg at a time.

THIS GAME MADE MY BRAIN HURT. There are four black pegs on the left and four white pegs on the white with a empty hole in the middle separating them.  You have to get all the black over onto the white's side and visa versa. Yeah. I spent like half on hour on this stupid game.

After About the fifteenth time going through the instructions and trying to move the pegs to their proper places I was like

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I FINALLY ended up getting the annoying horrid little things across, but it took help from the Lovely Friend and it was very complicated. I don't want to spoil anyone who might try this retarded game, but I will say it doesn't work like you think it should.

There were stupid bubble pictures

And a fabulous wooden horse that I played cowgirl on.

I am a Shadow Rider, Disfigured beyond imagination, searching
the world for her stolen heart.

The Cloud was the best.

Apparently The Shadow Rider got into the clouds. The hunt for her
 heart has gotten desperate

After the epicness of the Museum my Big Bro and the Lovely friend went out to the fabulous Frozen Yogurt and had an amazing lunch.

Then we went and shot arrows for and hour at this epic archery place. That was brilliant. Sometimes I even hit the PAPER. And it was the yellow bit too, not the boring blue spots. And I got to bring home my Target with all my holes in it.

Then I went and had my nails professionally done.

That was Soooooo weird. I've never had nails professionally done so I didn't know what to expect. It took a really long time. And I had to soak my hands in warm water and then dry them and then I had lotion put on them and then my nails were filed and pointed perfectly and then I put them in water again and then I had this gel put all over my fingers and then I had coat ONE of clear, greyish polish and then the actual color and then another coat of clear finish.

The lotion bit was a shock. the Guy doing my hands poured all this lotion on his hands, rubbed them together and then took my hands in his and rubbed the lotion in, going up almost to my elbow.

I didn't like that bit. I did like how my fingers looked though. All fun and bright and purple.

After the nail adventure we went to my Big Bros house for pizza and a movie. We watched Big Hero Six.

Fury Baaaaaaby
Oh my gosh, that movie was SO. FREAKING. CUTE. Little Baymax was super adorable and sweet and I was ashamed at how attached I got to him. He reminded me a bit of Wall-E. I love how he was with Hero. Hero was a cute and adorable too. I like cute adorable cartoon characters 8-D I also like all the Nerdy friends. Nerds that team up to save the world are freaking awesome. And hilarious. And incredibly fun. Just sayin.

Team-Nerd
I really enjoyed this movie. The characters were fun and interesting, Baymax was cute the Nerds were all cool and nerdy and the plot was really solid, even intense. I had unexpected Feels. Yep. Feeeels. Has anyone else noticed how emotional cartoons have been getting? What's with that? They never used to be emotional, at least not usually. Now cartoons will even KILL people sometimes.

Right. Random observation.

I have to go now! Videos to make! Lives to save! books to edit! Pizzas to devour!

What do you think of my new blog layout?????

PEACE OUT Y'ALL!!!!

BALL!
