Spazz Update

I promised y'all an update, so I am here to up the date.

It has been a crazy 2017 so far. And I have felt like Stitch for most of it. I've barely had time to take a breather. So much has been going on, it's insane. One minute I'm up past midnight visit with my cousin, and the next minute I'm at a CIVIL WAR RE-ENACTMENT having the time of my freaking life.

We went to the Reenactment at the end of June and it was so much fun though. I have to thank my dear friend Jim for dragging me along. I joined her, my sister Kat, and our friend Eric for some of the best days of the summer. Yes, it was 107 one of the days, and  yes I was hot and tired and afraid of bug bites, but the experience was still a blast. I enjoyed it immensely. We were able to go into the Union and Confederate camps and talk with the different soldiers. While in reality I am very glad the Union one, since that's why we have The United States, during the Reenactment I found myself voting for the Confederates more often than not. (Actually, I understand both sides of that bitter war. Most people think it was just about slavery, but it was about so much more. State rights, and citizens rights, and government rights, and the fight for America's ideals. Most Confederates were fighting for the very beliefs the Founding Fathers set down in writing during the Revolutionary War.) ANYWAY. We made friends on the Confederate side while exploring the camps, and during one of the battles I caught glimpse of this spirited soldier in a green shirt that was full of attitude. I really wanted him to survive that battle. He was so in the game, full of insults for the enemy, and plenty of lip. (Like saying "SHOOT THE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE YOUR SISTER!!! I'm pretty sure that was him.) He was shot down during the third battle and I was like, "No, little green man! Don't die!" I actually shouted really loud too. "You in the green shirt! DON'T GIVE UP!" He died at the fence though. I was into it to, I guess, cause I was like, "YOU'RE MEMORY WILL LIVE ON! YOU WON'T BE FORGOTTEN!" I was a little extreme. But hey, it was so much freaking fun.

Unfortunately I was having so much fun I didn't have much time for pictures, but here are a few.

Old-Time Singers!

I was like, "Those microphones are not quite historically accurate." lol

Such Canons. Wow Explosions.

When the Canons went off my whole body shook. It was exhilarating.

Guys, the Confederate Flag was cool.

Aaaaand the Union flag. AMERICA!

RUN UNION GUYS! RUN!

When the Confederates charged the Union,  it was actually kind of scary.

If it hadn't been 106 outside I might have actually dressed up. 8-P

LINE UP!!!!

I was such a nerd on this trip, lol. I even bought a fife and a tiny canon from where of their historical shops. They had all sorts of cool odds and ends in there, like wax and a candle for envelopes, old fans, bonnets, and handbooks on guns at that time. It was interesting to just poke around and look at all their stuff. I had to leave quickly so as not to buy too much. We bought a peppermint stick as a ceremonial. By the end of the second day, most of the Reenactment people knew us. They thought we were great for sticking through the heat. They'd wave and grin because we were so into it. I think it made their day. We hung around tents, talked to soldiers, asked lots of questions... I think they were happy to have people so thrilled about history.

I can't go into detail because there was so much we did... like the camping, and driving an hour to find a place to swim at the end of the first day. Or trying to find wood in 100+ degree weather so we could have s'mores.

After this great experience, I'd love to go to a Revolutionary War reenactment somehow. That would be so epic!

Anywhere, there's a fun adventure update. I hope I'll see all you again real soon, as long as no big life events happen between now and then. God Bless!

PEACE OUT Y'ALL!

Oh, Hey Guys. *coughs*

tumblr_m4dxt5hiFw1qgsjtg.gif (500×250)

It's uh... it's been a while. Yeah. It's been a while.

I wish I had a great excuse for my absence. Unfortunately I have none except that I am an exhausted pigeon with no time on my hands.

Heh.

I had thought of doing a LIFE UPDATE, but that would take way too much time tonight. So instead I'll do a quick post on the big important thing that happened all June! My fabulous sister Laura, and her family came to visit at the beginning of this month. I hadn't see any of them in years so it was great to visit with them even though it was only for a few days.

My poor sister always chooses the coldest weekend of the month to come visit my family. I don't think she's every come out when it was actually warm. She has the worst luck. It had been in the 70's for the last few weeks, but Laura managed to come up the one weekend in June that dropped into the 30/40's. With a chance of snow. Despite the random winter weather, we had a lovely time, with lots of visiting and laughter.

All Laura's kids talk sloooowly. Not as slowly as they used to, granted, but they're still slower than my sisters and I (But we talk like the conversation is a race and the first one to the finish line gets ice-cream. So....)

We were up late every night they were here, taking pictures and catching up.

Le me with adorable nephew, Charlie:

Le Tall Bro. (And and a niece Jane.)

"Auntie Bellaaaaa, whaaat are you dooooin?"

"Memories, Lilly. Precious, Precious Memories!!"

Ah yis, my fabulous family.

HEY LOOK THIS SEFLIE IS ACTUALLY GOOD! Cause Treskie took it....

Justin told us about Kentucky, where people apparently still believe the world is flat. For real. It's not a joke. And there's the whole North/South divide still. And they probably still think asbestos is rad.

It was funny to hear him talk about it. 8-D

Le Mom be like, "THE EARTH IS ROUND!"

Nieces kept asking me to take pictures with them, even though my selfies look like a walrus got a hold of my camera.

Love you, Emily <3

Baby Peter loved his little brother, So much. It was adorable. If you could smother someone with love, Peter would smother. (And Peter is ADORABLE. FYI)

WE ACTUALLY GOT A FAMILY PICTURE. I'm prolly going to print this out for meeeeeee.

Yet another disgusting Selfie. How does Treskie do it? (Love you, my nieces. Who cares if it's a bad picture? At least it's a picture. Right? Right.)

BEBE CHARLES IS SO CUTE.

LONG GAVIE HOLDING BEBE CHARLES IS ALSO SO CUTE. D'AAAAW.

Gavie interacting with kids in general is adorable. ( all the nieces and nephews got into his nature talks. It was adorable.)

"EEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeew! Sliiiiiime. Thaaat's Dis-gus-ting."

Look. A leaf! Oh my gosh!

(We had this nature walk down to this river, and Jane found these massive leaves, and she finally tore one off and did a full-on victory cry, and went charging off with it. Like, YAS, I AM CONQUEROR.)

Oooooooooh. Fish! (The one is the left. Do you see her? Do you see that girl? Do you see her? She's not mine. Not even related.)

Daddy Justin. <3

Cute Gavie. (AAAAACK.)

More selfies. Geeze.

FAMILY TREE PHOTO. BLESS.

So, that's my big story! This is a short post. SORRY!!! I'll try to do an "Update" post as soon as I have some down time. Many apologies to all my followers who watched me drop from the planet.

God Bless!

My Hands are High, My Feet are Low, and This is How I Pop-See-Ko!

Two days ago it was warm enough outside to hang around in the sun without a sweater. A couple times last week I even wanted to take off my shoes.

Now there's snow on the rooftops and frosted trees on the street.

Snow No.

Snow YES.

Oh Well. Such are the Spring times in Tahoe. Fufu! It looks pretty anyway. This was my view as I went up to get my nieces from school so they could stay the weekend. More on that in a mo.

I'm poor. Why am I poor? Well A.) my job isn't the best, and B.) I am a full on Anime freak and I can't get enough of it. My shopping spree last week went something like this: Me on the Computer. Me on Amazon. Me on Barnes & Noble Website. Me seeing a manga/anime that I love. Me.... I'll just take that. It's really bad. I bought Three Manga last week, two anime soundtracks, and added an anime series to my basket so I could buy it when I got my next pay check.

Bella, No.

Bella, YES.

Bella YEEEEEEEEES.

I'm not even ashamed. I needed Manga comfort. Grimm betrayed me. N/dalind is a retarded ship that should never have been give sails let alone wind to blow it, and that's all I'll say about the matter.

I also barely slept last night on account of my nieces being very talkative and having a weird dream about flying a Rose-Truck in London. With an alien that had huge eyes and no mouth, filling up the screen of the ship and repeatably telling me to scoot over. (Courtesy of Sammi Toink.)

It was a weird dream.

My little nieces are up for the weekend and I spent a couple minutes trying to take terrible selfies: As seen here. I want to post more pictures on my blog but I take bad pictures! 8-( Sorry, faithful followers. I did try.

Someone Photo-bombed my left hand picture. Sisters. *sigh*

It's been fun seeing Chloe and Sammi again. We spent most of today singing "Head, shoulders, knees, and toes - WHAT ARE THOSE???" and "Pop-see-Ko."

This is Pop-See-Ko

You're welcome. Now that will be stuck in your head the rest of the day. Like a child I participate in this nonsense. Tonight at teatime we even got Mahri and Gavin doing it! And Kat, and Treskie, and Amy.... it was great mayhem.

Then I sent Tiny a chat (cause she's visiting my sister Gina and her family) and I was like HEY TINY.

Tiny participated like a child too.

This is going to be a thing. Maybe I'll teach all the Day-Care kids to do it to.

HEY KIDS!

HEY WHAT??

ARE YOU READY?

FOR WHAT??

TO POP!

POP WHAT?

POP SE KO!!!!!!!!

Fufufu! Drive everyone I work with crazy.

I'm working on a longer blog post, and since I'm about to pass out I'll leave you now.

HAPPY PALM SUNDAY!

Hippy-Happy Fourth!

Today is the Fourth!!!

PROUD TO BE AMERICAN.

OKAY, OKAY,  YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ THE WHOLE POST BUT SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM. THERE IS A SONG YOU MUST HEAR!!!

This is the first Fourth of July which I am going to be spending away from home.

This was something I didn't really think about. And it's been a kind of weird month. You know those weird months where things aren't and they really should be.

My emotions this week be like; 😃😞😠😃😢😄😒😖😴😱😁😖😃

I did spend the weekend with my family, which was wonderful.  It was Treskie's birthday on the 2nd, so obviously I couldn't miss that!! We had cake and watched Jurassic World and had a ground old time with the whole gift-giving festivities. (She got lots of lovely things. Like a miniature Il Volo CD necklace. AAAAAAH!) Then, on Sunday a bunch of us went up to a little local beach in town that not many people visit because it takes so long to get deep. Seriously folks. You have to walk out like, a quarter of a mile to get neck deep. What the Freak??? 8-( The other beaches aren't that shallow, but those other beaches were *ehem* crowded.

Because the beach was so shallow, it was a little marshy near the shore. I was sad. We all sat on the sand and stared at the water, wondering if it was worth the walk to swim. Some of us (the ones not feeling slightly sick) decided it was. It took a bit, but finally I and a few of my sisters decided to brave our  way through the mushy water to the thigh-deep water where the water cleared up properly. Once we got to clear water it wasn't bad at all. It was refreshing. It was just a long, long walk to swimming depth. But it was so worth it! The water was beautiful! We stayed out for a good fourty-five minutes or so, playing and swimming and enjoying summer sounds and smells, then we gently coasted back in, slid onto the beach and dried off. We went home and had food and drinks and a musical (MARY POPPINS!!!) To finish off the day, Tiny and I stayed with my Great Friend Jim and watched A Series of Unfortunate Events. That movie is weird. I enjoy it, but it is so freaking weird. I hadn't seen it in years and I was like, "Yeah, this is definitely unfortunate."  (The books were even stranger. I ought to finish them some time.)

BUT GUYS.

If they make a Magician's Nephew they TOTALLY Have to cast Jim Carry as Uncle Andrew!

Enough said.

I am so rambly right now. Lol.

What about the Fourth, you ask?? Well, today I spent the day at B&N with my fabulous sisters. I got a beautiful coloring book/journal and the first season of the Flash because Barry. We swung by Hobby Lobby and got some fun nick-knacks which was lovely. I even got a nice little plaque that has "Friends." with the definition underneath. I love things like that! 8-D Then we had some Fro-Yo and Tiny and I went back towards Jess & Joe's house.

Joe's planning a fabulous BBQ. We're gonna party! Which probably means food and drinks, patriotic music, and then a patriotic movie movie to finish off the day.

We party so hard!

The Fourth of July always makes me really emotional. It is a reminder that America actually has an amazing history, and amazing potential.  I think we should all take this moment to remember America is not a bad country, it just has some bad citizens. America does not have a bad government, it just has bad rulers. America is not a bad place to call home, it just has some very bad people living here.

Remember what America has gone through. Remember our history, our heritage. Remember the soldiers who died so we could be free, the soldiers who still sacrifice everything so we are kept safe. Remember all the wars, the blood and the fight. Remember what America cost, and remember how hard we had to work to earn it. Remember America is not, in itself, evil. It has only had some evil years.

America is a good place to call home. We have made terrible mistakes and choices, that can't be denied. But America, as a country, is not bad. I am proud to be American. I am hurt by how the Rulers are disrespecting her by their ignorance and idiocy.

America is about hope. I don't think America is finished. I think with a little faith, a whole lot of prayer, and a some great perseverance, America could stand tall again. I love America, and I am proud of our heroes who have served her through the years. She is a great country and she deserves so much better.

I found this song today. It is so beautiful. I cried.

She's been through the Fire Before
And I believe She can take a whole lot more.

Isn't that beautiful??? The whole poem really got to me. It reminded me how much I loved my country. Pray for America. We are Once Nation, Under God. So long as that remains we can not fail. Pray for America and remember that you can love the country and hate what the rulers have done.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY Y'ALL. OUR RAGGED OLD FLAG IS VERY RAGGED. BUT IT STILL STANDS, AND IT WILL RISE AGAIN IF WE HAVE FAITH IN THE GOOD GOD.

Never lose your love for our incredible country! You can lose your love for the sovereigns, but never your love for the land.

PRAYER FOR AMERICA:

Dear Beloved God in Heaven Please give us a president that loves this country and everything it stands for. Please give us a president who respects you as the one true God. Please give us a president who will, with your help, restore this nation to its former glory, the way you created her. Please help us to respect what you have given to us and not take anything for granted ever again. Please God weaken the evil and strengthen the good both without and within. May our eyes be opened. We ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord, and Also His Holy Mother. We ask this in the Name of Peter, His Faithful Apostle and The First Pope, and in the name of all Christ's loyal followers who have gone before us into heaven, and stand on His right hand side. Amen.

#prayforamerica

With God, all things are possible.

Happy Fourth, Fellow Americans. Our Country truly is a beautiful thing!!!!

We Had Fat Tuesday on Sunday

Lent starts the day after tomorrow, Ash Wednesday. The day before Lent is called Mardis Gras, or "Fat Tuesday." It is a day where everyone feasts and makes merry as a last hurrah before the Lenten season of fast and abstinence comes in. It originally started because in the days of the early Church, Christians would give up quite a bit of sweet foods, spices, condiments, and beverages, and they didn't want everything going bad just because they couldn't eat it. So they would have a big feast the day before Lent began to make use of as much food as they could. Catholic's give up different things now than they did then, and obviously it isn't as easy for things to go bad anymore; but the tradition stuck, and Catholics today still celebrate in much the same way.

This year I was with my brother for Fat Tuesday. He worked on Tuesday, so I had the bright idea of celebrating on Sunday when he was actually off and could enjoy it. He agreed. We bought a ton of food, we brought Tiny up for a visit, (My awesome sister) and we invited his fiance. Then we started the feast!

YEEEEEEES FOOD IS AWESOME.

See dat coffee cake in the corner? I made that. And it was fabulous.

My brother's beautiful fiance. *I am terrible at selfies.

SEE DEM SAUSAGE ROLLS? THEM SAUSAGE ROLLS MAKE-A ME CRAZY! TOO GOOD! GOOD FOOD!

BRO.

Tiny tried to photo-bomb, but her hair got in the way.

Lalala, my selfies suuuuuuuuuck.

Such hair. Wow curls.

Again with the horrid selfies.... anyway, we played dominoes! With my bro!!! In fact, he was the one who suggested it. Cause he is awesome and plays games like that. (Reason #404 Why My Brother is Better than Yours.) I've never done that. It was lots of fun! If I stared at the blocks too long the colours made my eyes cry a little, but otherwise it was great! *Tiny won.

To sum up the evening, we watched Captain America - the Winter Soldier. *cue flailing and feelings and fears*

Both Toink and Chloe had seen this before, but I don't think either of them remembered it very well. It was like Toink was watching it for the first time. Everything was so cool! or, that's rude! Like, when Cap fought his way out of the elevator and jumped out without dying, she was like;

"He's so cool, I want him."

She had a running commentary through the whole show, but I'll just give you the highlights.

*Cap throws his shield at Bucky*  Toink: "Wow. He can throw it so hard! How does he do that? Is he... awesome?

*Bucky shoots Black Widow*  Toink: "Why would he do that?? It's rude! He's rude!"

*Bucky attacks Steve* Chloe: "They're supposed to be friends! I hate this!"

*Sam gets his wings* Toink: "I love the wings guy, he is so cool. He can fly. How can he fly?"

*Bucky gets smacked: Toink: "WHY THAT GUY SMACK HIM? IT'S MEAN! Poor Bucky!" ...."Why is he in a chair? Why is he so sad?"

Chloe: "Why are they so mean to him?"

*Bucky knocks Sam out of the sky* Toink: "He took his wings! Now he's gonna die! That's rude! Why he... do that?"

*Bucky starts punching Steve* Toink: "HE SPANKED HIM IN THE FACE."

Me; I KNOW!

Toink: IT'S RUDE! POOR STEVE."

Toink: "WHY DOES HE KEEP SPANKING HIM ON THE FACE? It's rude! Does he remember him? Stop hitting him in the face, it's really, really rude!"

*Gasp* He shot him! Why he shot him? SO mean!"

.... "When is he gonna remember him???"

Chloe: "WHY hasn't Bucky remembered him yet? This is dumb!!

Toink: Why can't he remember?

Me; They took his memories and they put drugs in him so he would do what they said."

Toink: "That's. So. Rude! Why would they do that?"

Me: "So he could kill Captain America."

Toink: "They're so mean bad guys!"

.....

*The plane gets blown up*
Toink: "WHY DID THEY BLOW IT UP, I DON'T WANT HIM TO DIE, ITS STUPID!"

Chloe: "WHY hasn't Bucky remembered yet?? This is dumb."

They were both very into it... crying and stuff.

OOoooh, here's a bonus of their reaction when Bucky saves Cap.

Toink was kind of in shock... lol.

It was hilarious.

Anyway, that was my "Fat Tuesday." I hope this post wasn't too jumbled.

I AM GOING TO DISNEYLAND IN A WEEK YOU GUYS.

Peace out y'all!!!
