I LOVE how he is always pushing her behind him when some mean Alien thingy comes for them, doing his best to protect her from everything. They had such a wonderfully sweet love story.
I know what you mean about the lack of pictures in adult books. One of the reasons I don't like adult books. (As the Doctor says, "You're typical grown up, boring."
I'm glad my books don't sound Epic. I've read and watched things that are supposed to be epic and it is like whoever made them had to stuff too much of everything in it to make it a kind of wild, insane adventure and it just comes off as feeling rushed and confusing. I like a good story with great characters. I've even read books with little excitement because the characters were wonderful.
