That's right, seven whole days of Merlin geeki-ness. If you would kindly spread this about I would be most grateful :) I will put up the rules on the day before. It should be fun!
Also, I have good news and bad news. Good News; Sunday is EASTER people!! Lent is almost over, Deo Gratias! I am going back to BLACK COFFEE and CHOCOLATE. The Bad News; Unfortunately, two of my sisters and both my nieces have Strep Throat. So I've been rushing about spraying the house with Lysol, washing my hands, and rinsing my throat with Listerine and spraying everything with germ killer. So far? So good.
I finished Martin the Warrior. He is quite the heroic little mouse. The ending had me in tears - again - but Really? I've been missing out. I'll have to do a book report and fan-rave a bit. Mossflower, here I come!
I watched the 1st episode of Psych; Season 7. I won't give off any spoilers but I am going to say, Shawn if freakin' AWESOME when he is angry. I think I love him.
And, to my own surprise, I would really like to see the Doctor Who Christmas Special.
Its been over 5 weeks since I've watched a New Doctor Who. I'm just really Time-travel starved. I've resigned myself to the fact that Clara is not the Ponds and have decided to that if this new version of her is like Oswin, whom we met in The Asylum of the Daleks, I will like her. She won't be a POND, but I bet she'll be good. Maybe. I'll give her a chance. Afterall, maybe one of Clara's season will see the return of The Last Centurion and The Girl Who Waited *crosses fingers*
That's all for now. Have a good rest of the week. And don't forget about the Merlin Blog Party!
Oi, what are you....oh, you just want to comment? Then that's fine, please do! I love comments! but, um, I sort of stalk them.
Obviously I've been watching too much Doctor Who. While hanging up clothes today I found these markings etched on my closet wall. THE SILENCE* WAS HERE!!!
I have no idea who did this or how long its been there, but its still eerie.
2) I watched the ending episode of Psych; season 6. CLIFF-HANGER! Seriously, what was that about anyway? At any rate, Season 7 is being awaited with baited breath and a good deal of excitement. WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?!
anyway, I've obviously been having waaayy too much fun lately. upon researching the Gallifreyan language further I discovered a core of classic AND new Whovians who have banded together to study this fictional language. This sight was so interesting that I spent a bit too much time on it and ... *ehem* anyway, during my research I found an old letter written by the Doctor in one of the classic shows. It is written in Gallifreyan. See his signature at the bottom?
'To the Castellan of the Chancellery Guard
I have good reason to think that the life of his Supremacy the President is in grave Danger. Do not ignore this warning.
Gallifreyan is quite an interesting language to say the least. It has 7 prime or 'base' numbers which are simply rearranged to create other numbers. Rather like English when you put together seven, eight, and four to make 784. They have prime symbols which can be shadowed or turned differently to make the sentence mean something else. Cool, right? maybe I'll do a post on Gallifreyan some day :)
Now I'm gonna do the tag/questions that she put up.
What was your first impression of the Sherlock Series?
Erm, Modern Sherlock? Not okay. *two days later* I AM SOOO SHERLOCKED!
What is your favorite Episode? Why?
Yikes! That is not an easy question. I really like A Study in Pink because that's when Sherlock and Watson first get together..... but The Reichenbach falls is my favorite.Yes, that episode was TERRIBLE, but it was also well acted and brilliant. The hounds of Baskervilleand The Great Game are just below that one. It's only above by a little bit.
Who is your favorite Character? Why? (its okay if you can't answer cause I surely could not. Just try to narrow it down.)
John, Sherlock and Lestrade are in my first group and Molly and Mrs. Hudson are in the second. Okay, I can't choose. But I know Sherlock and John are first on my list.
Who would you would you rather be friends with, Sherlock or Watson? Well if I were Watson's friend I'd probably end up being Sherlock's friend too. Probably Watson, because he is a bit Kinder than Sherlock. Still..... I'm not going to choose between two heroes.
Which character do you think you are the most like?
Erm... I have no idea. I don't think I'm really like ANYONE. Maybe a bit like Molly - on my good days :) Rank BBC Sherlock amongst your other favorite shows. (How does it compare to other shows you watch? Which do you like better?)
I have a hard time rating it because there are several shows I like; Psych,Leverage, Hogan's Heroes, Monk.... It is probably somewhere between BBC Merlin and Doctor Who. I'm a bbc fan :) If you could spend the day with one of the actors from Sherlock, who would it be?
Either Benedict Cumberbatch or Martin Freeman. I really want to meet both of them.
What is your absolute favorite scene of the Series?
Sorry Darlings, I can't narrow it down to one. I'm going to do four, two for each season.
1) A Study in Pink - When Watson Saves Sherlock at the end.
and as terrible as it was, Sherlock and John's goodbye from the same episode. I mean, is there anything worse than Watson calling out Sherlock's name as he jumps?? (*Note*- Moffat enjoys doing this. The Doctor watching Amy and Rory, anyone?* The GRAVEYARD? Wholockians had to live through the same thing TWICE dang it)
Cat is doing a superly-duperly fun tag :) So I decided I will be hosting a dinner party and inviting all my favorite book characters to feast with me. YAY!
One character who likes to cook.
Sally Jackson from Percy Jackson. She is just too sweet for words. and maybe she'll bring Percy along *Grin*
One character who has the money to fund the party.
Chrestomanci from A Charmed Life. love him!
One character who might cause a scene.
Ooooh this is a good one :) I'll invite Skye from The Penderwicks. If she refuses to come I'll ask Gwendolyn Chant from A Charmed Life. She'll be sure to cause some damage.
One character who is funny/amusing.
Bartimeus from Bartimeus! He is the oddest genie in the world.
One character who is super social/popular.
Gabrielle from Heist Society. Now she is sociable! One villain.
The Lady of the Green Kirtle from Narnia; The Silver chair. I find her infinitely more creepy after listening to the dramatized version of this book.
One couple (doesn't have to be romantic)
James and Lark from Lark. They don't get really romantic till near the end but I adore them anyway. Especially James :)
Paul from The Last Crescendo. If he isn't the truest of heroes I don't know what is.
One unappreciated character.
Eomer from The Lord of the Rings. For those of you who have both read the books and watched the Extended Edition of the movies, you will understand my adoration.
One character of your own choosing.
Jeffrey from The Penderwicks. I really love this character. I mean, Tommy is awesome, but there is something about Jeffrey *smile*
That was so much fun! Thank you Cat for doing this :-) Before I go here is the video I promised
The Doctor and the Ponds - Awake
feel free to rate and comment! You can find the better version here
I started this shortly after watching Angels take Manhattan and finished it on Sunday. I had a lot of trouble making it because I kept crying :'( There are spoilers, so if you haven't seen season 7 and want to be surprised, DO NOT WATCH!
Unfortunately, I probably won't post any more music videos until after Easter. It really depends on if I can finish my half-done ones on Sunday. Anyway, enjoy :)
Oi, what are you.... oh you just want to comment? Then that's fine, please do! I love comments! but, um, I sort of stalk them.
Why does Lent always make one want to bake all kinds of chocolate and creamy desserts?! Every day since Lent began all I can think about are tasty chocolate muffins, Sugar cookies, chocolate pie, and, most recently, warm, nutty brownies with a big bole of ice cream topped off with Coffee. This is because my sister is making brownies for tomorrow and I've been smelling them all day - then she showed them to me and had me smell them. all I could think about for the rest of the day was this;
Its always when you can't have something that you crave it. But tomorrow is Sunday and I shall enjoy myself heartily *rubs hands* We are having a friends over for tea scones - scones being TARDIS cookies - something I can barely wait for. It is looking like a good day.
I've started reading Percy Jackson again. last time I read them I wasn't really 'in the mood' for that style. now that I am, I adore Percy. He is so freakin' awesome. I I'm having book-character love. and he gets more awesome with each book! I just love him :)
I've taken to listening to the audio books of Jeeves and Wooster. We have them on tape - (I know, I know; Homeschooled.) They are soooo funny! They are read Alexander Spencer who reads the book in perfection. I adore how he reads Jeeves and Wooster is brilliant! Right now I am listening to "Thank you Jeeves." I believe there is nothing quite so wonderful as listening to books on tape while drinking tea. It is lovely. (this may also be the reason my writing is a bit odd today.)
I started doing The Thirty Day Shred - by Jillian Michaels. I haven't died yet - I've pushed through each exercise every day, even the push-ups! Woot, woot me! At first I'm like - I can do this! I'm not give up....." Then I'm like "Dang girl!"
And as I fumble and groan, Julian Michels is saying "Don't you dare stop! I want you to keep going."
Me- "OK. OK... NOT STOPPING." *Wheeze* Lastly, I was able to finish my newest video. I've also done an Amy and Rory video to All I ask of you. Check it out Here. I think I did quite well on it :)
Breathless; Amy and Rory
Tell me if you like it - I've decided that every now and again I will pop up with a music video. They are fun and I enjoy posting them. I hope you do too.
Now I shall pop off - I need to finish listening to Jeeves and Wooster. Tomorrow I will have brownies and coffee. Good-bye.
